At Hafray Limited, we believe that the success of our enterprise is inseparable from the prosperity of the pastoralist communities we work with. Our sourcing network spans Isiolo, Marsabit, Wajir, Garissa, and Tana River — regions where pastoralists have raised cattle for generations.
We work with trusted agents along key cattle trade routes to source Boran steers and other breeds at fair prices. During drought seasons, we provide an important offtake market, buying emaciated cattle at reasonable prices and restoring their health through our fattening programme.
To date, we have engaged over 100 pastoralist suppliers and processed more than 1,200 animals. Our goal by 2030 is to work with 3,000+ pastoralist producers across 8 ASAL counties.
